ABOUT RICHMOND UNION CRICKET CLUB
Club
Richmond Union Cricket Club has been located in Richmond since it's formation in 1967. We are a community based club run by volunteers who have a love of 'Park Cricket'. Originally formed as a Senior Men's turf club in the late 1960's we now cater to senior men and women, juniors (4-18), veterans (Over 60's) playing on Turf and synthetic surfaces. Our home facilities; the Jack Dyer pavilion are proudly located at Citizens Park in the heart of Richmond, just off Bridge Road, close to public transport. With other grounds like Burnley, Alan Bane and Fletcher ovals scattered around Richmond. As a club, we pride ourselves on catering to a broad range of abilities, giving everybody an opportunity to take the field. The club is not just about cricket, we have a vibrant social life that all members are welcome to participate in.

Competitions
Richmond Union Cricket Club currently plays in three Cricket Associations; Eastern Cricket Association (ECA), Cricket Southern Bayside (CSB) and Veterans Cricket Victoria (VCV). Our Senior men, Junior Boys and Junior Girls all play in the ECA. Most senior men's matches are played on Saturdays, with a few played on Sundays for reserve days or when grounds are unavailable. CSB is the home of our senior women's sides and their games are scheduled on Sunday afternoons. Finally Veterans play their games also on Sundays.
Senior Teams
Richmond Union has 4 Senior men's teams and 2 Senior women's sides. The 1st and 2nd men's XI’s both play a mixture of 1/2 day matches (40/80/72 overs) on Turf wickets whilst the 3rd and 4th XI's play 1 day matches (35 overs) on synthetic surfaces. Having 4 men's grades allows players of all skills and abilities the chance to participate in a game of Cricket on Saturday. The 3rd and 4th XI are particularly suitable for young players making the transition from junior to senior cricket. Where possible we encourage fathers to play cricket with their sons in these teams. The Senior Women's side both play 20 over cricket, the 1st's at Citizens Park Oval and the 2nd's on Synthetic at Burnley Oval, on Sunday afternoons. As with the men's teams
